The successor to Battlefield 2042 could be a battle royale hero shooter.
What went wrong with the development of Battlefield 2042 and the result that many of you have already played, about it reported Tom Henderson in a recent video.
The insider also had information on how the Battlefield series should probably continue. Of course, not everything is set in stone.
However, according to Henderson, the next Battlefield will be planned as a hero shooter in which heroes, who are basically specialists with no army affiliation, fight against each other. That would take you even further away from the current Battlefield 2042.
A connected universe is supposed to give the specialists more depth.
Players should expect a Battle Royale in the near future. Maybe not in the next six months, but in this vague timeframe.
