After the Champions League has ended, the play-offs in the Europa League for Borussia Dortmund. Demanding opponents threaten there.

What will happen to Borussia Dortmund after the Champions League exit on the European stage? Following the final group game against Besiktas on December 7th (9pm, LIVE! At kicker), BVB “only” has the chance to fight for the Europa League title.

The Westphalia are by no means directly qualified for the round of 16, but must first survive the play-offs. In the first knockout round of the Europa League, a runner-up in the current game round is waiting. Eintracht Frankfurt (four points ahead of the second Piraeus) and Leverkusen (three points ahead of their pursuers Betis) would now be group winners and would skip the play-off round.

PSV, Napoli, Lazio

In the play-offs, the return legs of which are scheduled for February 17th and 24th, there is a risk of challenging opponents. At the moment, San Sebastian and PSV Eindhoven are fighting for second place in Group B, and Napoli and Lazio are currently still behind the respective leaders.
