Apple | Apple will soon start selling replacement parts for the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro | macbook

Of the Apple Self Service Repair Store also offers numerous spare parts for the iPhone 12, the iPhone 13 (approx. 840 euros on Amazon) and the third generation iPhone SE, now Apple has in one press release announced that the range will soon be expanded to include spare parts for MacBooks. These components will be available in the US starting August 23, with European sales expected later this year.

At the start, only spare parts for the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro based on the Apple M1 and for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro and M1 Max will be offered, but it is not yet known when the range will be expanded to include other models. Initially, customers should be able to perform more than a dozen different repairs themselves, including replacing the display and trackpad, as well as replacing the upper half of the case including the battery – making the battery replacement more expensive but potentially easier to carry out.

This program is designed to give consumers access to the same parts and tools used by Apple Retail Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers. Apple also offers repair manuals, detailing how each repair should be performed. If you send the defective components back to Apple, you get a discount. The tools needed for the repair can be rented for $49 for a week if needed.
