It might be worth the wait, however, as the device is expected to feature an all-new design, complete with a magnetic MagSafe connector for charging, while the Apple M2 boasts a more modern architecture and is manufactured using TSMC’s N4 process for both improved performance and should ensure a longer battery life.
Apart from the MacBook Air, Apple is said to be planning a whole range of products based on the Apple M2 this year, including a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro, a Mac Mini, a 24-inch iMac and an iPad Pro. A leaker recently revealed the alleged launch schedule for these Macs, according to which the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Apple M2 will be unveiled at WWDC in June.
