But that could change faster than expected: According to a new report, Cupertino has started mass production for the MacBook Pro with a 14 or 16-inch display. The upcoming devices could come up with some serious innovations – including an even more potent interior and a panel with mini-LED.

Report: Mass production of new MacBook has started
DigiTimes According to Apple, the starting signal for the mass production of the new models of the MacBook Pro: In the period from August to November, the group expects production of 600,000 to 800,000 units per month. However, the industry journal does not give an exact date when the products can be bought. In an earlier one report DigiTimes spoke out in favor of September, which initially seems quite plausible in view of the new developments.

Which speaks for a release in October
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also shared his assessment of the situation and expects the devices to be officially announced between September and November of this year (see here). Furthermore, two previously unknown models appeared in the database of the Eurasian Economic Commission – with high probability they are the two variants of the MacBook Pro. These should already be delivered with macOS Monterey. It is more than questionable whether Apple will release a final version of the software in September – this often follows about a month after the release of an iOS upgrade.

New chip and panel expected
According to several reports, Apple is to give the upcoming MacBook Pro a mini LED display – both the 14-inch and the 16-inch version. In addition, the company will probably present the successor to the M1 chip. Some market observers therefore expect immense leaps in performance and enormous demand for the new products.
