These show at least what to expect if you remove the base cover – and then also grab the screwdriver. The interior design is still dominated by the central components battery and cooling – in the middle is the M1 Max, whose heat pipes conduct the heat to the right and left to the fan system. At first glance, there are hardly any differences to previous models, which were built according to the same scheme.

Where the M1 Max is on the new MacBook Pro, Apple had previously placed the Intel processors and graphics card. As is well known, the M chips combine all the relevant components on one die, which results in comparatively immense dimensions. The following photo from the well-known leaker lovetodream shows the lot of the chip in relation to a yuan coin (diameter: 25 millimeters):

Replacing the battery: Simple and with adhesive strips
In order to replace defective batteries, the technician has to pull on small adhesive strips and then remove the individual components. Incidentally, iFixit has already commented on this fact in a first teaser for the forthcoming illustrated report and very much welcomed Apple’s decision in favor of simple repairs. Both the 14″ and the 16″ model use six batteries and two fans. RAM replacement is of course not possible given the design, the shared memory is permanently connected to the processor. Although the cooling system is very similar to its predecessor, it is still more powerful. Apple claimed to be able to dissipate 50 percent more heat. This is probably also due to the fact that there is a little more space for the required components given the minimal increase in case thickness.
