Apple | Macbook Pro with M2 Max and Pro probably already in autumn | macbook

Apple introduced its first Macs with M2 at WWDC 2022. It is then only logical that the successors for Max and Pro processors are coming.

With the Macbook Air (tested) and Macbook Pro 13 inch (tested), Apple has already presented a successor to its computer chips. Some even consider the new Macbook Air M2 to be one

“almost perfect mac”
. Whether this assessment can hold up for a long time remains to be seen

coming autumn

or next winter at the latest. Because then Apple will

according to reports from Bloomberg
already the

upgraded processors M2 Pro and M2 Max

demonstrate. These will be built into the 14- and 16-inch Macbook Pro models.

According to Marc Gurman, the author of the report, Apple has set ambitious goals for the next generation. The manufacturer therefore wants to treat the new Macbooks to the Macbook Pro 13-inch cure: nothing to be revised except for the new chips. That’s why the new computers can appear a little earlier than the previous model: in autumn 2022 or by spring 2023. So far, the clock for popular Macs was 1.5 to 2 years before the new models came onto the market. If the rumors are true, it will only be a year before the Macbook Pro 14 and 16 inch are followed by their successors.

Apple has not fully completed the switch to Apple Silicon. In November 2020, when the first M1 Macs were launched, the manufacturer promised to migrate the entire range of desktop Macs and notebooks from Intel to Apple Silicon within two years. The notebooks are all now on M1, even some on M2. Even an iPad can benefit from the M1 chip. When it comes to desktops, the situation is a little more skewed: Apple brought the Mac Mini to the M1 and introduced the Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra in the spring. However, there is still a Mac Mini with an Intel Core i5 and a Mac Pro with an Intel Xeon on sale. While those interested in the Mac Mini can choose between Apple Silicon and Intel, Apple’s product portfolio lacks a powerful workstation in the Mac Pro class. Apple has also completely abolished its iMacs with a 27-inch screen diagonal. Although there is the Apple Studio Display with a 27-inch screen diagonal and 5K resolution, there is no corresponding Mac.
