Macbook Air 15″
A Bloomberg report according to Apple finally seems to be listening to these voices, because a MacBook Air M2 with a 15″ display could come onto the market as early as the beginning of 2023. This follows the proven concept, i.e. as light as possible and also fanless, but offers a larger screen. Allegedly Apple thought about presenting two versions of the MacBook Air at once, but then decided on a staggered introduction. Therefore, there are now unanimous reports from several quarters that Apple is again relying on more than one version of the MacBook Air – at the beginning there were also two display sizes, namely 11″ and 13″.
MacBook 12″ – a comeback
From 2015 to 2019, in addition to the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro, there was also the MacBook without a name suffix. This had a 12″ display and worked silently – the ultra-mobile version of the corresponding Intel chip wasn’t a performance miracle, but it ran sufficiently cool. According to Bloomberg, Apple is planning a new edition of the smallest notebook, but you still have to decide until the end Be patient until 2023. In view of the fact how efficiently the M1 and M2 chips work, compromises in terms of computing and graphics performance can no longer be expected.
MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max
Most sources assumed that Apple would not update the MacBook Pro 14″ and 15″ until next year. However, according to Bloomberg, there is still a good chance of seeing M2 Pro and M2 Max models by the end of the year. While 10 CPU cores and up to 32 graphics cores have been responsible for performance so far, it should then even be 12 CPU cores and up to 38 graphics cores. Otherwise, Apple is largely leaving everything as it was, because the last complete redesign was not long ago.
