With Satechi, another supplier now has hard shells for the MacBook Pro in their range. That Eco hard shell case of the manufacturer is available for the MacBook Pro models with 14 and 16 inch screens presented last year.
In connection with the new plastic covers for the MacBook Pro, Satechi particularly emphasizes that the covers have an adapter-friendly design – the side cutouts are designed in such a way that plug-in hubs can also be used, which, for example, have two USB-C use connections. Of course, Satechi primarily has its own USB-C adapters for Apple notebooks in mind and carries its own Pro Hub models as an example.
The plastic covers themselves are designed to protect the notebook from scratches, dirt and fingerprints and are clicked onto the top and bottom of the Apple computer. Rubberized feet on the underside should ensure a secure and non-slip stand and also guarantee better heat dissipation. In connection with this, the ventilation openings of the notebooks on the underside are also cut out accordingly.
Satechi offers its hard cases for the MacBook Pro models with 14 and 16 inch screens in either transparent or space gray. A retail price of $44.99 is mentioned in the US. In this country, the case can already be purchased for 44.99 euros in versions for the MacBook Pro 14 inch and the MacBook Pro 16 inch order, but you have to pay attention to the comparatively high shipping costs of 8 euros – this should be regulated in the near future.
Alternatives from Incase, Tech21 and Artwizz
Satechi comes relatively late with its hard shell cases for the two MacBook Pro models. The products of other manufacturers have been on the market here since spring, we already have the comparable products from in this category in case, Tech21 and Artwizz presented.
