Tariff deal at Saturn: iPhone 14 Plus for 269 euros

Anyone who finds the regular iPhone 14 too small has the opportunity this year for the first time to buy the basic model of the Apple cell phone in a larger Plus version – for a hefty surcharge. At Saturn, the iPhone 14 Plus is now available with a contract for 269 euros. Is it worth it?
Buying an iPhone has always been associated with high costs. Manufacturer Apple doesn’t take any prisoners when it comes to pricing its mobile phones and goes a little harder with each new edition. This year, the result is that even the cheapest iPhone 14 model costs 1,000 euros. Should it even be the new iPhone 14 Plus with a larger 6.7-inch display, a whopping 1,150 euros are due.
iPhone 14 Plus: Buy cheap with a contract
If you don’t want to pay for it all at once, you can often get a better deal by taking out a mobile phone contract. Saturn, for example, offers the iPhone 14 Plus in combination with the o2 Free L Boost tariff for a one-off price of 269 euros. The mobile phone is paid for via the monthly basic fee of 59.99 euros. In addition to telephone and SMS flat rates, there is 120 gigabytes of data volume.

The contract terms sound anything but attractive at first, 60 euros a month is a lot of money. However, if the total costs for the 24-month minimum contract period of EUR 1,748.75 are offset against the value of the mobile phone, EUR 599.75 remain for the tariff. If you take your old phone number with you, you will receive an additional 100 euro change bonus.
The bottom line is an effective monthly rate of 20.82 euros. This is a real bargain compared to the high level of features of the tariff with a transfer rate of up to 300 megabits per second. After all, it normally costs 44.99 euros. If you are flirting with the iPhone 14 Plus and are on the go a lot on the go, you will get away comparatively cheaply here.
Alternative directly at o2: iPhone 14 Plus with 20 GB flat rate
If 60 euros a month is a bit too much and it doesn’t have to be 120 gigabytes, o2 itself offers a similar offer at more moderate conditions. In this case, too, the minimum contract term is 24 months, but the mobile phone is paid off in 36 monthly installments. If you keep the tariff for three years, the total costs will be 2,025.62 euros. If you subtract the value of the mobile phone and the exchange bonus, an effective basic fee of 21.57 euros remains. The price-performance ratio is a bit weaker here, but there is no high one-off payment, and the monthly rate is a bit easier to digest. Compared to the regular price for the o2-Free-M tariff of 29.99 euros per month, the offer still offers a whopping saving.
