The camera on the back still has three lenses, a flash and a LiDAR sensor. The sides of the iPhone 14 Pro also remain the same, judging by the render images: the left side is still reserved for the volume buttons, mute switch and SIM card. The right side houses the power button. A Lightning connector is apparently still planned on the underside – contrary to all the rumors that emanated from a device without one. The latest, if sparse, information on the performance of Apple’s next flagship comes from Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo. As the US magazine “Forbes” recently reported, he is said to have revealed that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will repeatedly use the A15 chipset from last year 2021. Due to problems in the supply chain, Apple’s next-generation A16 chips are said to not cover all new iPhone 14 models. Thus, by using the A15 chip, the cost of the iPhone 14 series would be lower.
If Apple sticks to its schedule from previous years, the updated iPhone 14 series is expected to launch in September or October 2022.
