Iphone 14 | Apple iPhone 14: An analyst reports problems in the supply chain | apple iphone

The well-known analyst Ming Chi Kuo has stated that several of Apple’s display and storage suppliers cannot supply enough components to manufacture the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. According to the analyst, LG Display is currently experiencing quality issues with the panels for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

However, Samsung Display and BOE should be able to almost completely close this gap in the supply chain, so that there should not be any significant delays in the production of the smartphones. Ming-Chi Kuo assumes that LG Display will soon be able to fix the problems in panel production. The LPDDR5 memory, which will be used at least in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, will be supplied exclusively by Samsung when the smartphones are launched.

Both Micron and SK Hynix should be able to ship DRAM chips for the iPhone 14 Pro in Q4 2022 at the earliest. However, this should not affect the availability of Apple’s next-generation flagship smartphones either, because according to Ming-Chi Kuo, Samsung can supply enough memory chips to ensure Apple’s production.

There have been reports earlier that Apple’s iPhone 14 Max in particular will be limited at launch, but according to Ming-Chi Kuo’s latest information, the actual impact of the problems in Apple’s supply chain is limited.
