According to a recent report on the South Korean blog Naver, the Apple iPhone 14 base model will be launched with a starting price of $799.
In 2021, the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 appeared at the same price.
Apple iPhone 14 will likely start at $799
Like the user yeux1122 Writing in the South Korean blog Naver, Apple won’t raise the price of the upcoming iPhone 14’s standard model to boost sales and offset falling demand amid a weakening global smartphone market.
According to him, the decision not to raise the price of the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 this year was made at the highest level of management, even though Apple is struggling with rising production costs and ongoing supply chain problems. The source of the rumor is said to be from a US financial institution, which is said to have a track record of accuracy.
Same price for years
If the iPhone 14 were to come out at the same starting price as the iPhone 13, it would be the second time Apple’s top-of-the-line model stayed the same price. The Apple iPhone 12 base model was released in 2020 for $799.
The Apple iPhone 14 is speculated to come in four models consisting of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max. In the case of the standard models, no significant changes should be made to the design compared to the Pro and Max variants. An A15 chip is said to run in the iPhone 14 models, while the Pro, Max and Pro Max variants are said to get the faster A16.
The flagships probably do not have a notch and instead the camera is located in a circular hole. The presentation of the iPhone 14 is expected at the keynote in September.
