Do you want to buy a current iPhone 14 Pro as a Christmas present? Then you have a problem: A Covid outbreak at Apple’s most important production site led to production outages, which is why Apple had to issue a press release warn of low stocks. Currently, the delivery situation has continued to deteriorate and an iPhone 14 Pro can hardly be ordered from specialist retailers.
Guaranteed delivery dates in the Apple Store
By when an item must be ordered for Apple to deliver it by Christmas will be on a separate page explained. There are some differences in these last order days: While for the iPhone Pro November 15th was the last day to order, Christmas delivery is guaranteed for the other iPhone models until December 21st. By the way, in addition to the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models, this will probably soon also affect the iPad Mini. With almost all other devices you can postpone the order according to Apple’s list.
If you want the particularly popular iPhone 14 Pro with 128 GB in space grey, Apple promises delivery by December 27th. Even if you pick it up in the Apple Store, you won’t get the model earlier, otherwise it’s always a good tip for delivery problems. But you can be lucky with individual models: A good piece of advice is therefore to check availability on the website. You can query the availability of all iPhone models via an option at the top of the Apple Store website.

Here you can easily check different color and storage variants and find out availability and stocks in nearby Apple Stores. Things are currently looking bleak for the iPhone 14 Pro. According to our query, you would have better luck with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, for example, there are still a few models available – according to our sample, we could pick up a model in gold or dark purple in the Apple Store in Munich.
Search in retail
In retail, the iPhone 14 Pro seems to be almost sold out. You can pre-order the devices, but delivery by Christmas is unlikely. There are no discounts either, the dealer Hardwarecamp asks even for an iPhone Pro 1399 instead of 1299 euros.
However, individual devices can still be found with larger providers, such as mobile phone providers. Both devices are available, the delivery time is 1-4 days.

A final option is Ebay, as the first iPhones 14 Pro are already on offer here. However, we recommend that you only purchase devices in their original packaging from reputable buyers, as there are many dubious suppliers. But the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus?
The scarcity of the iPhone 14 Pro has a second reason: the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models are not a success. The iPhone 14 in particular offers few innovations compared to the iPhone 13 and has also become significantly more expensive. The new large iPhone 14 Plus is not a hit either. The two models are not only readily available at the moment, they are even available with discounts from some providers. Perhaps wrongly, both the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus are actually good alternatives to the iPhone 14 Pro. In our opinion, the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro are not a bad deal either.
