According to the latest information from DigiTimes Apple’s suppliers have “recently” started supplying components for the iPhone 14 series. Currently, components for around 90 million iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are to be prepared, about the same number as in the previous year for the iPhone 13 (about 800 euros on Amazon) and the iPhone 13 Pro.
DigiTimes sources say that production is usually adjusted in November or December depending on how demand for the iPhone evolves, so these numbers don’t yet give an indication of Apple’s expected sales. Apparently, no delivery bottlenecks are expected, at least at the start of production. Supply chain information reaffirms that most upgrades will be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, with both the 48MP main camera and the Apple A16 Bionic reserved for the more expensive models.
For months there have been rumors and leaks that there will be no iPhone 14 mini. Instead, Apple is said to be planning an iPhone 14 with a display in the format of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Noisy of recent rumours However, this model should not be launched with the name iPhone 14 Max, as previously expected, but as the iPhone 14 Plus. The “Plus” designation was used until the iPhone 8 to denote larger versions of iPhones, Apple is said to be using this designation again for the 6.7-inch iPhone base model, possibly to distinguish the device more clearly from the more expensive iPhone 14 Pro Max to demarcate.
