Iphone 14 | Apple is reportedly increasing production of the iPhone 14 to 95 million units | apple iphone

According to a new report by Taiwan Economic Times Apple has increased production of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro from 90 million to 95 million units, so the technology giant wants to produce around 5.6 percent more smartphones than originally planned during the launch period. This move shows that component availability continues to improve, while Apple appears bullish on demand for the iPhone 14 series.

Foxconn has increased the sign-on bonus for new factory employees by 50 percent to the equivalent of more than 2,000 euros in order to find the necessary personnel. While the basic model should be as expensive as the iPhone 13, at least in the USA, customers in Europe must expect massive price increases after the euro has fallen against the US dollar since the launch of the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro (approx. 1,100 euros on Amazon) has lost around 14 percent in value.

The basic model should only get a few innovations, such as an improved quick charge function or a better selfie camera. Replacing the decidedly unpopular iPhone 13 mini with an iPhone 14 Max, which offers a larger display at a lower price, could prove to be a lucrative strategy. The iPhone 14 Pro, on the other hand, has numerous new features that could boost demand despite the potentially higher prices.

From the revised design with dual punch hole to the new Apple A16 Bionic to the 48 megapixel main camera that can record 8K videos, customers can look forward to some major upgrades. With the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the iPhone is finally getting an always-on display, with the more modern LTPO-AMOLED panel also saving power and thus extending the battery life.
