Iphone 14 | Apple probably lowers production target for iPhone 14 | apple iphone

Despite higher prices in most countries, the iPhone 14 is again selling very well. The Pro models in particular are popular with buyers. Nevertheless, Apple seems to have to adjust its sales targets.

According to an agency report, Apple has cashed in on plans to increase production of the new iPhone 14 by up to six million units in the second half of the year. The expected surge in demand failed to materialize, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday, citing insiders.

iPhone 14 production meets demand

The suppliers have been informed that it is not necessary to prepare for production increases. Instead, as in the previous year, Apple will produce 90 million mobile phones in the second half of the year, Bloomberg reported. The company actually expected higher demand for the Christmas season, but has now decided against adjusting the production target. The suppliers have also already prepared for an increase of up to seven percent. The previous sales are therefore not high enough to correct the target upwards. Bloomberg writes that according to insiders, “an expected increase in demand did not materialize”.

According to Bloomberg and other analysts such as Ming-Chi Kuo, demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models significantly stronger than for the standard models. For this reason, at least one Apple supplier has already switched production to produce more units of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.
