Frankfurt, Oct 19 – A few weeks after the launch, Apple is reportedly curtailing production of the iPhone 14 Plus. The US technology group has informed at least one supplier in China that it will no longer produce parts for this model for the time being, reports the industry service “The Information”, citing insiders. Apple could not immediately be reached for comment.
Due to the weakening economy and increased inflation, smartphone sales are declining worldwide. According to the industry service Canalys, sales in the third quarter fell by nine percent year-on-year. This trend will probably continue in the next six to nine months.
