The Google Pixel 7 does well in the test with great measurements: the 6.3-inch OLED display delivers powerful maximum brightness, rich contrasts and ideal color space coverage. Performance and equipment are also first class, even if we would have liked a larger storage version than a maximum of 256 GB.
Because the Pixel 7 takes really nice photos and videos, the internal memory could quickly reach its limits. The daylight shots in particular are among the best the market has to offer. Sharpness and level of detail are superb – even the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max (to test
) give up.
Google now installs an in-house processor in its smartphones; and that works in the test of the Pixel 7
very positively noticeable. The Pixel runs fast and fluidly, everything meshes perfectly, no other Android smartphone can keep up here. If you remove all the restrictions from the Google Assistant, you get a practical and fun control element for smartphones and smart homes via excellent speech recognition.
The battery life, on the other hand, remains a small flaw. In our long-term stress test, the oven was switched off after 11 hours and 31 minutes. The competition creates more here. Despite all the criticism, we have to say in fairness that this battery performance should easily be enough for a day.
