Apple has launched a new generation of smartphones. As the tests of the iPhone 14 series show, they are currently among the best devices. The large Pro version takes first place in our CHIP leaderboard. But the smaller Pro model also misses most of the competition and is currently in 3rd place.
Unlike the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the iPhone 14 Pro comes with a handy 6.1-inch OLED display. In addition to the housing, the battery in the iPhone 14 Pro is also slightly smaller. Nevertheless, the 3,200 mAh battery lasts almost 14 hours and 30 minutes in online mode – a decent runtime considering the size. The smartphone is fully charged again in just under 2 hours. Here you should note, however, that no power supply unit is included in the scope of delivery. Either you already have charging cables and the like at home or you have to order them separately.
The biggest change inside the iPhone 14 Pro is probably the new in-house Bionic A16 processor with 3,460 MHz and six GB of RAM. The top processor makes the Apple smartphone a powerful performer and runs smoothly and quickly even in more demanding applications. In terms of camera, however, we would have hoped for a little more. The new 48 megapixels sound great on paper, but the daylight photos differ only slightly from those snapped by the previous iPhone 13 Pro model. In return, the selfie camera with autofocus and the optional ProRAW format are impressive. Here the full potential of the 48 megapixel sensor is exploited and detailed, sharp photos are created. Overall, the iPhone 14 Pro is at a high level in all categories.
