The manufacturer BOE will cover 20 to 25 percent of the display requirements for the successor model to the iPhone 13.
Samsung becomes the main OLED supplier
According to a report by the online magazine IT Home from South Korea, Samsung is to become the exclusive supplier of OLED displays for the Apple iPhone 14 Pro, as display analyst Ross Young wrote on Twitter.
The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, on the other hand, will receive displays from other manufacturers such as BOE.
50 million OLED displays
The company BOE will deliver up to 50 million OLED displays to Apple for the iPhone 14. If true, it would be a lucrative deal for the display maker and could increase its profits.
The presentation of the Apple iPhone 14 is expected at the keynote in autumn 2022 and, according to previous speculation, one of the top models will have a periscope camera. The fingerprint sensor is supposed to be under the display.
At the moment, little information is known about the technical features of the iPhone 13 successor model. An iPhone 14 mini will likely not be available due to weak demand for the iPhone 13 mini.
