New renders let the iPhone 14 shine in a whole new light. The images could easily come from Apple itself.
Front Page Tech
, the controversial Youtube leaks show hosted by controversial leaker Jon Prosser, has released a series of render images of Ian Zelbo’s iPhone 14 Pro. And they look absolutely stunning! Technically, there aren’t many surprises: that’s not what most renderings are about. It’s simply a highly professional visualization of the current consensus on what the iPhone 14 Pro will look like: the same broad design language as the 13 Pro, the edge style, the rear camera configuration and so on, but with oval and circle vents in place of the notch , thinner edges and a gorgeous new purple color.
The render images show that the iPhone 14 has a significantly larger camera module on the back of the device, but that too was to be expected: back in March, Max Weinbach told his Twitter followers that the hump would protrude 4.17mm, the largest in the world History of Apple. The company appears to have abandoned the idea of a flush camera. Most owners put their iPhones in a case anyway, so this is far less of an issue. The case leaks that appeared a week ago seem to confirm that the camera module is actually getting that big.
Further render shots show what is happening under the glass, more precisely: under the hole and pill recess. The left module is for Face ID, Prosser explains, and contains the infrared camera, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and dot projector. The front-facing camera is located in the hole punched opening on the right side.
As always, it’s important to emphasize that these are rendered images, or as Prosser puts it, “computer-generated images of a smartphone that hasn’t been released yet.” They are not photographs or official imagery and should not be relied upon in any way. To be fair, pretty much every reputable leaker and analyst thinks this is what the 14 Pro will look like.
It is also important to emphasize that these are renders of the iPhone 14 Pro, for the obvious reason that most of the interesting changes made to the iPhone range this fall only apply to the Pro model . The iPhone 14 and 14 Max will likely be a disappointment, both inside and out.
