It’s time for Apple to show “courage” once again. With the iPhone 14, the company is preparing to ban the next long-familiar component from the smartphone: the SIM card slot. A change that only applies to the US variants of the new Apple hardware for the time being, but which has the potential to cause even more problems than the deletion of the headphone jack once did. Because where users were once able to help each other out via adapters, here problems are almost inevitable – and inevitable.
