TrendForce: 6 gigabytes of RAM in all four models
TrendForce is now daring to make a forecast regarding the RAM sizes of future premium smartphones from Cupertino. In her most recent Analysis is what the market researchers call the main technical data of the iPhone 14, which they believe will be available in four versions. These differ in terms of display sizes, camera systems and housing materials, among other things, but not in terms of RAM capacity. According to Trendforce, Apple equips all models with 6 gigabytes of RAM. It’s different with the current devices: iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 have 4 gigabytes, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max can access 6 gigabytes. The information corresponds to information that the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is considered to be accurate, tweeted back in March of this year (see ).
Pro variants probably with significantly faster RAM
Like Kuo, the market researchers at TrendForce also assume that Apple uses two different memory generations for the iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are said to be equipped with LPDDR4X RAM, while the company uses significantly higher clocked and therefore much faster LPDDR5 chips in the Pro versions. With regard to the SSD capacities, TrendForce also dares to make a statement, but does not consider this to be conclusive. Apple is expected to offer the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max with 128, 256 and 512 gigabytes, respectively. iPhone 14 Pro (Max), on the other hand, probably have 256, 512 or 1,024 gigabytes. According to market researchers, there will be no successor to the iPhone 13 mini.
