Two current cameras of different types were subjected to a new video test.
On one side of CNET’s test is the new iPhone 14 Pro with its mega camera. On the other is the new GoPro Hero 11 – it’s optimized for action, but the iPhone also has an action mode.
Adventure course with iPhone on the chest
Both devices were strapped to the tester’s chest for testing on a water adventure course and climbing walls. Videos were then recorded at 60 fps.
You can see the results below. The iPhone 14 Pro came with Action mode, the Hero 11 with the Hypersmooth option. And the videos can be seen on both sides.
Videos good, stabilization equivalent
The iPhone recorded with a slightly lower resolution, but was on par with the GoPro in terms of image stabilization. Only the lenses make a big difference – with the GoPro, thanks to the fisheye format, more fits into the picture.
