The chances of getting an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max for Christmas are getting smaller and smaller. After Apple’s warning of production delays, the delivery dates for all iPhone 14 Pro variants in the Apple Online Store have already been postponed to the end of December.
iPhone 14 Pro delivery times
A little over a week ago, Apple announced an unpleasant news for investors and consumers. The company warned that the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions in China will have a major impact on iPhone 14 availability during the holiday shopping season. The company explained that lockdowns in China mean factories producing the iPhone 14 Pro are operating “at significantly reduced capacity.”
However, the news was not the first sign that delivery times will continue to increase. Even before this announcement, Apple was struggling with bottlenecks in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The company had underestimated the demand for the two flagship models of the iPhone 14 series. Later production switched to these models to meet demand. The company even went so far as to temporarily halt production of the iPhone 14 Plus.
When Apple issued the warning to investors and consumers last week, estimates for the delivery of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max had already slipped to mid-December. However, these orders should arrive before Christmas. As of today, that no longer appears to be the case. That’s how he lists Apple online store currently all variants of the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max as out of stock and states December 27th as the earliest possible delivery date.
The situation is similar in terms of availability in the Apple Stores, although in a few cases it is still possible to pick up the product from a branch until Christmas Eve. As always, you can get lucky with other contact points. Retailers or wireless service providers may have such o2, Vodafone and the Deutsche Telekom still have some inventory.
