A Twitter post shows us the alleged iPhone 14 Pro Max, along with the exact dimensions of the 3D model. Accordingly, some things should change compared to the previous model – as well as the display dimensions.

Apple is known for not taking too many leaps when it comes to the design of its smartphones. For example, the iPhone 13 (here with a contract) looks almost the same as the iPhone 12 (here in the test). If you want to find differences here, you have to take a close look and ideally use a measuring tape. However, things could be different with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. If the measurements leaked by @VNchocoTaco are later confirmed, we won’t need a magnifying glass this year.

Less border = bigger display?

According to @VNchocoTaco, the biggest change is in the screen edges. They are supposed to shrink by almost 20 percent compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max (here in the test). Exactly these should only Measure 1.95 mm instead of 2.42 mm. Sounds like little, but it is so much that the difference would be visible to the naked eye. Mainly because the housing of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is said to be 0.4 mm longer and wider. Accordingly, the display should measure more than the 6.7 inches of the iPhone 13 Pro Max (here with a contract).

It’s also interesting that the speaker cutout at the top end is said to shrink from 1.52mm to a tiny 0.57mm. In terms of depth – or thickness – the iPhone 14 Pro Max has increased by a millimeter. This is mainly due to the larger camera module, which could probably house a new sensor. Unfortunately, the leak does not give any information on the weight.

iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with triple punch hole

While all other manufacturers have gotten rid of the notch in recent years, Apple has stuck with it. However, if the leaked images actually show the iPhone 14 Pro Max, this year could be the final end for the prominent front camera bulge.

Instead, we find three punch holes for the sensors at the top of the display of the alleged iPhone 14 Pro Max. What is striking, however, is that these are surrounded by a thin, protruding frame. Other manufacturers do without further, view-restricting disturbing elements.
