Admittedly, we’ll have to wait a few more months before Apple announces the iPhone 14 family. We are currently counting on the month of September. In the background, however, preparations are already in full swing. There is also a small preview of the iPhone 15 Pro, which is expected for autumn 2023. We’re talking about a 5x optical zoom periscope camera here.
iPhone 14 achieves “Engineering Validation Test”
In a recent analyst assessment shared by colleagues at 9to5Mac Haitong International Securities’ Jeff Pu speaks of having learned from the Apple supply chain that the iPhone 14 is now in the technical validation phase (EVT). The recent lockdown of the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen should not have any impact on the development of the iPhone 14.
In addition, the analyst has one or two more pieces of information about the upcoming iPhone 14 ready. It says that the A16 chip, destined for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, will have a larger die size compared to the A15, despite the migration to 4nm technology. He also expects a larger display for the entry-level model (the mini model is omitted) and a 48MP camera for the Pro models. The selling price of the iPhone 14 should be at the level of the iPhone 13.
There is also a small preview of the year 2023. Jeff Pu says that Apple will use a periscope camera with 5x optical zoom for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
