The company LG Display has started to supply Apple with LTPO displays for the iPhone 14 Pro series.
So far, Samsung Display has dominated the market, but with the entry of LG Display as a second display supplier for Apple, things are moving.

LG Display and iPhone 14 Pro
For the first time ever, LG Display is supplying LTPO displays for mass-market mobile products to Apple. The display technology celebrated its premiere on the iPhone 13, which was launched in 2021. The technology significantly reduces the energy consumption of mobile devices and thus extends battery life.
The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max is equipped with an LTPO OLED display and ensures a diamond-sharp display of the screen content. The display for the top model was delivered by Samsung Display after the market launch.
The South Korean group has been offering LTPO OLED displays for mobile use, which are mass-produced, for more than two years. In the third quarter of 2022, Samsung Display posted the highest profit because it was the exclusive OLED supplier for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

It is likely that Samsung Display’s supply share will decrease once LG Display appears on the market. The Chinese manufacturer BOE is the supplier responsible for the normal iPhone 14 models, as they run on low-temperature OLEDs made of polycrystalline silicon (LTPS).
