When Apple introduces the iPhone 14 as part of the “Far Out” event on September 7th, surprises cannot be ruled out, but they are not very likely either. As always, leakers and Apple experts named most of the specifications of the new smartphones from Cupertino in advance. The expected prices have already been rumored. In view of the high inflation rates in the USA and many other regions of the world, observers and potential customers expect that the likely four variants of the iPhone 14 will cost more than the current generation of devices from Cupertino.

TrendForce: Apple will exercise restraint on prices
However, the market researchers at TrendForce assume that Apple is operating cautiously in this regard and that the prices of the iPhone 14 are therefore at the lower end of the previously mentioned ranges. In her youngest report about the global smartphone market, they dare to make a fairly accurate prediction of how much one will have to pay for the four models in the United States. At most, Apple charges 799 US dollars for the iPhone 14 without a name suffix, which is the same amount that is currently due for the iPhone 13. However, a price of just 749 US dollars is also possible, according to the market researchers. For the basic variants of the other three devices, TrendForce quotes the following prices:

These are also the assumed maximum values; according to the analysts, these could also be 50 US dollars lower. Compared to the corresponding models of the iPhone 13, that would be an increase of 50 or 100 US dollars in all cases. The information largely corresponds to the minimum prices recently forecast by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (see ).

iPhone 14 Pro (Max) with at least 256 gigabytes?
TrendForce also expects that Apple will sweeten the price increase for the iPhone 14 Pro models by improving the memory equipment a little. According to the market researchers, the basic versions of the devices will have 256 gigabytes, unlike the iPhone 13 Pro (Max). The company is thus confirming its own assessment made in June, but this contradicts Jeff Pu from Haitong International, for example. According to the analyst’s assessment, the base model iPhone 14 Pro (Max) will remain at 128 gigabytes (see ). Incidentally, European customers will probably have to reckon with stronger price increases due to the weakness of the euro.
