With the presentation of the new flagship from Apple, the company triggered a wave of criticism. After all, the iPhone 14 is almost identical in construction to its predecessor, the iPhone 13 released in 2021. Nevertheless, it should cost customers at least 200 euros more. In competition Samsung vs Apple this is a godsend for the South Korean competitor.
Samsung vs. Apple: malice on Twitter
Via Twitter the US account Samsung shared three videos in which he draws attention to Apple’s disadvantages compared to its own products. Two of them revolve around the company’s flip and fold cell phones. It has been ahead of its US competitor on this point for almost two years.
However, the reference to the camera in the Galaxy Ultra models should hit Apple a little harder. Because camera technology has always played a not insignificant role in the Samsung vs. Apple battle. Samsung has been offering 108-megapixel cameras for two and a half years, Apple only achieves 48 megapixels. But is it really all that matters?
Megapixels aren’t everything
“The number of megapixels is only part of the solution”, notes video game and software developer Alex Howell in response to the tweet. “You also need good software processing, and you definitely can’t say Apple’s latest phones can’t compete with your 108MP phones. You excel in the processing department.”
Samsung needs to stop increasing the number of megapixels every few years. Instead, the tech giant from South Korea should improve the software processing of its smartphones. Because then the group would no longer be dependent on the 108 megapixels and could possibly even lower its prices.
Legitimate criticism of the iPhone 14
In fact, Samsung vs. Apple seems to be picking the wrong targets for an attack. After all, there is much more to complain about with the iPhone 14 than the lack of folding or folding variants or the number of megapixels. The lack of further development compared to the previous model is a far greater excitement on the internet.
