Iphone 14 | The Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be more expensive, according to Ming-Chi Kuo | apple iphone

According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 14 will cost the same in the US as the iPhone 13 (approx. 840 euros on Amazon), although previous rumors have suggested a $100 price increase. Now the analyst has Ming Chi Kuo about the prices of the two top models of the iPhone 14 series. Accordingly, both the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be more expensive than their direct predecessors.

The analyst does not give exact prices, but Ming-Chi Kuo states that the ASP, i.e. the average selling price of all iPhones, is expected to increase by around 15 percent to between 1,000 and 1,050 US dollars for the iPhone 14 series, which is mainly due to the higher prices of the Pro models, although Kuo also expects that more customers than before will use the expensive Pro iPhones in the future.

Both the price increase and the expected higher demand for the Pro models are likely due to the numerous upgrades that are likely to increase the production costs of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. These include above all the Apple A16 Bionic, the 48 megapixel main camera, the selfie camera that is three times as expensive, and the advanced LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display. The iPhone 13 Pro with 128 GB of storage costs 1,149 euros in Europe, while it is US$ 999 in the USA. Interestingly, the EU price almost exactly corresponds to the converted US price plus 19 percent VAT almost a year after the launch.

After the exchange rate of the euro has fallen from 1.18 US dollars to just 1.03 US dollars since the launch of the iPhone 13 Pro, prices in Europe are likely to increase significantly. If the iPhone 14 Pro were to start in the USA for 1,099 US dollars and Apple would retain its roughly 15 percent exchange rate buffer from the previous year, the device would cost around 1,450 euros including tax in this country.
