For three days, everything that is important for industrial automation was presented at the “SPS – Smart Production Solutions” trade fair in Nuremberg: products, solutions and forums on current topics of the new machine regulations and the use of AI in industry. In total, around 50,000 interested people met 1,229 exhibitors. Although the trade fair recorded a significant increase compared to the previous year with 999 exhibitors and 43,813 international trade fair visitors, it still lagged behind the numbers of the two trade fairs before Corona, with a peak of around 1,600 exhibitors and around 66,000 visitors. In view of the short-term, nationwide train drivers’ strike and the associated difficult travel conditions in local and long-distance Deutsche Bahn transport, the trade fair organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt sees this as a success. Ticket holders also had the opportunity to find out more about the digital platform “SPS on air” a week before the start of the event and to watch live broadcasts from the forums during the trade fair.
The image gallery shows some highlights from the trade fair. These include new drive components, sustainable concepts for industry as well as digital solutions and the use of generative AI. You will find more detailed information about this in the next few days.
Next year the trade fair will take place in Nuremberg from November 12th to 14th, 2024.
