Xiaomi is expected to unveil the new Xiaomi 12 and 12X smartphones at an event in December. Xiaomi 12 will be a real flagship based on Snapdragon 8 Gen1, and Xiaomi 12X will be a compact smartphone on snapdragon 870.
A well-known Weibo Digital Chat Station insider reports that both phones will have curved displays. The current Xiaomi Mi 11 lineup features the Xiaomi Mi 11 with a flat display and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra with a curved screen on the sides.
It is also reported that the Xiaomi 12 and 12X stereo speakers will be located symmetrically. It is worth adding that in Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra this is not the case. The first speaker is on the left on the top panel, and the second is on the right on the bottom.
It is expected that Xiaomi 12 will receive an updated 50-megapixel main camera, FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a larger optical fingerprint scanner and 100 W charging.
Xiaomi 12X will be a compact flagship with a screen diagonal of 6.28 inches. It will be narrower than the 4.7-inch iPhone 7. The AMOLED display with a resolution of Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) will also support an image refresh rate of 120 Hz.
