The general incorporated association Of Women’s ways was launched in June this year with the aim of addressing and supporting issues such as physical changes and physiology of female athletes. As part of these activities, we will give a lecture to female club students and leaders on the importance of playing sports while valing the body.

The University of Tokyo is focusing on promoting women’s participation and advancement through sports, and we plan to create the Women’s Rugby Club in 2020 and the Women’s Soccer Club next fiscal year, and we would like to focus on creating an environment where women can continue sports with peace of mind in the future.

In line with the university’s stated philosophy, this lecture was held.

[What is Woman’s ways?]】
Reiko Ushioda (Representative) Mayi Nakagawa (Vice President) Ai Sugiyama (Director) Maiko Kano (Director) launched this organization to “face issues such as physical changes and physiology so that female athletes can continue competing with peace of mind and stay close to each other.”

(Representative Reiko Ushioda Message)
It is necessary to create an environment where athletes can focus on the competition without stress and build a relationship where players, coaching staff, and support teams can understand each other in order to achieve better results.

I think that it is now that I retired that I would have spent a little more stress if I had learned more properly because I could not learn when I was active, so I would be happy if it would lead to the support of female athletes who are working hard.
