It was his first goal of 2022 – an unusual scoring crisis for CR7.
After the game there was also praise from coach Ralf Rangnick (63). Rangnick: “It was a great goal. Not just a great goal, but an important one at that. Overall it was a very good performance from him.”

Is Rangnick trying to make his superstar hot here for the Champions League Round of 16 next time against Atlético Madrid?
The premier class is the only realistic title chance for the English record champions this season. In the league, the gap to the leaders and city rivals is huge (20 points), in the FA Cup and the League Cup you are already out.
