Cristiano Ronaldo: Juve coach Allegri gives him a nasty dig – football

Oops!

Cristiano Ronaldo (37) left Juventus in the summer of 2021 shortly before the transfer to Manchester United ended. Apparently he’s not missing in Italy…

As the “Mirror” reports, Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri (54) gave the superstar a nasty swipe at a press conference on Thursday!

On August 31, 2021, just before that, Ronaldo left Juve and switched back to Manchester United for just around 15 million euros. Since then, things have been mediocre for both Ronaldo and Juventus.

Ronaldo is not having the success he wants with Man United. He and his team are fourth after 25 matchdays (43 points). The gap to leaders Man City is 20 points. Ronaldo has scored a relatively meager nine goals in 21 Premier League appearances.

Juve, after all, won the Champions League group ahead of last year’s winners Chelsea. Torino is also only fourth in Serie A after 25 matchdays (46 points), seven points behind third-placed Napoli and nine points behind leaders Milan.

Nonetheless, coach Allegri made some very interesting statements at a press conference on Thursday. Without naming Ronaldo directly, when asked about the development of his team, he taunted the Portuguese: “I think personal goals have been put on hold and the focus is now more on the team.”

And further: “We’ve been together for six or seven months now. We know each other a little better, we feel a lot more like a team.” It is obvious that these statements are also closely linked to the change from CR7 in the summer.

Allegri already coached Ronaldo in the 2018/2019 season, this summer he returned to Juve. Although the collaboration with Ronaldo was said to have worked well before, things have reportedly crunched between the two this time.

This is how the Ronaldo transfer came about – which on paper was not particularly good for either side, even if Allegri apparently sees it differently.
