Football icon accumulates almost one million euros in tax debts

Cameroon’s football icon Samuel Eto’o has in Spain Tax debts of almost one million euros piled up. This comes from a list published by the Spanish tax authorities. Accordingly, the debt burden of the former FC Barcelona striker is 981,598.19 euros.
The Spanish public prosecutor had already charged Eto’o with tax offenses five years ago. Back then, Eto’o had Elected President of the National Football Association in his home country around two weeks ago was apparently evaded 3.9 million euros in tax payments. Eto’o played in La Liga between 1996 and 2009 before retiring in 2019.
