Gravis is currently offering the Apple MacBook Pro in the 13-inch version from 2020 at a reasonable price in its own eBay shop. Specifically, the dealer calls a price of only 1,099.90 euros. The dispatch takes place without further costs from Germany, whereby the delivery should take place between Thursday and Friday if payment is received today.
A price comparison shows that the notebook is currently not available cheaper from any other dealer, so at least 1,139 euros is currently being asked for. According to the price comparison, however, it is not the all-time best price.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 is offered in the version with eight gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory. An Apple M1 processor with eight cores running between 2.1 and 3.2 GHz is installed. A 13.30-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz is installed.
In our detailed test, the device was able to convince and scores – as usual – with good workmanship and the iconic design. The performance was impeccable in 2020 – at least when it came to native apps and not emulated applications. The MacBook Pro 13 was also able to collect plus points for the battery life. Among other things, the comparatively low WiFi speed, the low-resolution webcam and the limitations in the Thunderbolt connectivity proved to be problematic.
I’ve been a journalist for over ten years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and since 2017 I’ve also worked for Notebookcheck. My current focus is in particular on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – i.e. compact systems with many possibilities. In addition, there is a soft spot for all kinds of wearables and especially for smartwatches. I work full-time as a laboratory engineer, which is why I’m not far from scientific connections or the interpretation of complex measurements.
