As already reported several times, Apple leads a vehement fight against unionization of employees. The company does not shy away from legally extremely dubious methods (forced participation in seminars against trade unions) and cooperation with an almost disreputable law firm. Despite intimidation and threats, America’s first Apple Store has now voted to join a union. With 65 to 33 votes it went poll in favor of the efforts – certainly fueled by the fact that Apple had just recently smashed the planned organization in Atlanta. In Towson, Maryland, something could have started that has so far been successfully prevented – allegedly there are more than 20 other stores where the measures are also advanced. According to the New York Times, Apple had not shied away from strange disinformation campaigns in Towson either, telling employees that unions had banned the promotion of black employees in the past.
MacBook Pro M2: available from now until “August 9” (Store )
Surely this news doesn’t surprise anyone, because a look at the rest of the model range already shows how tense the situation is. The wait for a new MacBook Pro 16″ is two months on average, and August can now also be here for the MacBook Pro M2. The good news, however, is that Apple still expects to process orders within a few days for the two standard configurations If you decide to buy the notebook, you should receive it next Friday.
However, as soon as you need other equipment, for example more unified memory or internal storage, you are already confronted with the forecast “July”. Should it be the top variant with 24 GB of RAM, Apple even says that it will not be delivered until August 9th. It will be interesting to see how the MacBook Air will perform in the coming months. Presumably, the delivery times will then shoot up much more, especially since the opinion is spreading more and more in many discussions that the Air is the better offer compared to the Pro.
