As is well known, Apple only presented the iPad Pro M2 in a press release and a short video at the time, but the expected Mac innovations (Mac mini M2, MacBook Pro 14″ and 16″ with M2) failed to materialize in October. According to reports, the market launch was scheduled for autumn, but had to be postponed to January for various reasons. Apple finally presented the devices this week, also accompanied by a video in the usual event manner.

The video indirectly confirms that Apple actually wanted to show the devices at an event in autumn and had the video material produced at the time. Not only does the style correspond exactly to the event advertising videos that have been maintained since 2020, the file name and the direct URL are too treacherous – because these contain “2022” and not the current year. Incidentally, the unusual date of a product launch meant that Apple had to show no Mac updates in a fourth quarter for the first time since 2000.

Bill Gates insists he’s still not an iPhone user
The former rivalry, one could also describe it as downright enmity, has lost much of its sharpness in the last decade. Of course, nothing has changed in the fact that Microsoft relies on Windows PCs – and company-internal ones Counting also hardly on iPhones (84% Android, only 15 percent iPhone). One of the most prominent Microsoft characters stressed recently again not to use Apple products. Bill Gates, co-founder and longtime CEO, uses a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 along with an unspecified portable PC. He prefers Android because the manufacturers are “more flexible” with regard to software integration. By the way, he doesn’t use a tablet himself, only the aforementioned Galaxy Fold with “a lot of Microsoft software”.
