macOS Ventura and new MacBook Pro ahead

Apple insider Mark Gurman published the latest issue of his PowerOn newsletter over the weekend. With this he doesn’t just respond M2 iPad Pro such as a new dockwhich could turn the iPad into a smart display, but also on macOS Ventura and new MacBook Pro.

Gurman writes

I’ve been told that the new iPad software update and initial release of macOS Ventura will add support for the latest iPad Pro models and the next versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. The higher-end laptops get the first M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, more powerful versions of the standard M2. Changes to the laptops are otherwise minimal.

Even though macOS Ventura will already support the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro and these will be announced later this year, the Apple insider does not expect them to be presented together with the new iPad Pro.

There will probably not be another Apple event this year. The new products will probably be announced by press release. Gurman cites the relatively small innovations compared to the previous models as the reason. One reason could also be that Apple could save its marketing energy for the Reality Pro headset in the coming year.
