According to veteran analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be more expensive, while the base model is said to be priced the same as the iPhone 13, according to previous reports.
One of the winners of the increased average selling price of the iPhone 14 model series is the contract manufacturer Foxconn.
What did Kuo write on Twitter?
In a post on Twitter, Ming-Chi Kuo wrote that the average selling price of the iPhone 14 model range was around 15 percent compared to the iPhone 13 to between 1,000 and 1,050 US dollars. The reason for this are two price increases for the iPhone 14 Pro and a higher shipping percentage.
According to Kuo, the contract manufacturer Foxconn is the leading manufacturing service provider for electronic assemblies for the iPhone 14 series with 60 to 70 percent order share, which is why the company’s revenues will benefit significantly from a higher selling price.
A price increase for the two iPhone 14 Pro models seems logical, since their shipping share will be higher and numerous technologies will be installed there.
Innovations iPhone 14 Pro
The new Hole-Punch+Pill design brings the most important camera upgrade in years and the new A16 chip to the iPhone 14 Pro models.
The standard iPhone 14 model is rumored to cost $799 and is said to have both the same price and design as the previous model. With the iPhone 14, Apple could refrain from increasing the price.
The presentation of the iPhone 14 series at the keynote is expected in September.
