Apple is the only leading smartphone vendor that actually grew year-over-year on resilient demand. Here, however, the figures from Canalys and IDC differ. At Canalys, Apple was able to increase its sales by 8% to 53.0 million iPhones, according to the IDC analysis by 1.6% to 51.9 million. The two smartphone brands Vivo and Oppo had to cope with a slump in sales of 20 to 22%. Nevertheless, both ranked 4th and 5th at Canalys and IDC alternately in the analyses.
