Iphone 14 | iPhone 14 Pro: Apple cuts production by 14 percent | apple iphone


According to TrendForce, Apple has increased the production ratio of the two models of the iPhone 14 Pro series to 60% of the total volume of iPhone production from the originally planned 50%. Market analysts don’t rule out that Apple will further increase this ratio to 65% in the future. The delivery target for 2022 is a total of 240 million iPhone models, which would correspond to an annual increase of 2.8%.

In view of the increasing geopolitical pressure, the major smartphone manufacturers and thus also Apple are accelerating the relocation of production lines from China, TrendForce further reports. Looking ahead iPhone 15 series TrendForce expects Apple to maintain its schedule of releasing four new dual-processor models to further differentiate between standard and high-end models.

As for the specifications of the iPhone 15 generation, TrendForce assumes that Apple will finally make the switch from Lightning to USB-C. In addition, the analysts expect that the iPhone Pro series will receive an upgrade in storage capacity to 8 GB, the camera specifications will be further improved and a 5G modem from Qualcomm will continue to be used. Apple’s self-developed 5G modem is expected to be officially unveiled in 2024, according to TrendForce.
